Displaying a brown, blue, white and black beadwork band across the hand, these brown leather gloves are named for Mount Saint Elias, also known as Boundary Peak 186. This is the second highest mountain in both Canada and the United States, being situated on the Yukon and Alaska border.
Astis leather gloves are hand-sewn in the USA from high-quality brown suede leather with hand-stitched beadwork on the wrist and are lined with Polartec® Thermal Pro® High Loft insulation. Working directly with a tannery in the USA, we developed a suede leather, injected with silicone during the tanning process for further waterproofing, that is extremely durable yet retains great dexterity.
As each leather glove is hand-sewn and uses natural materials, each leather mitten will possess slight variation in the look of the leather and beadwork. Astis embraces these subtle differences and views them as unique gloves more akin to works of art.
