Displaying crossed a colorful and gray beadwork band across the hand, these black leather gloves with tan patches and piping are named for the Mount Hayes. Mount Hays is the highest mountain in the eastern Alaska Range. Despite not being a fourteener, it is one of the largest peaks in the United States in terms of rise above local terrain.
Astis leather gloves are hand-sewn in the USA from tan high-quality suede leather with hand-stitched beadwork on the back of the hand and are lined with Polartec® Thermal Pro® High Loft insulation. Working directly with a tannery in the USA, we developed a suede leather, injected with silicone during the tanning process for further waterproofing, that is extremely durable yet retains great dexterity.
As each leather glove is hand-sewn and uses natural materials, each leather mitten will possess slight variation in the look of the leather and beadwork. Astis embraces these subtle differences and views them as unique gloves more akin to works of art.
