Displaying a beautiful red and white beadwork band across the hand, these tan leather mittens are named for Ojos del Salado which is a stratovolcano in the Andes on the Argentina-Chlie border. It is the highest active volcano in the world at 22,615ft. It's names means "Eyes of the Salty One."
Astis leather mittens are hand-sewn in the USA from tan high-quality suede leather with hand-stitched beadwork and are lined with Polartec® Thermal Pro® High Loft insulation. Working directly with a tannery in the USA, we developed a suede leather, injected with silicone during the tanning process for further waterproofing, that is extremely durable yet retains great dexterity.
As each leather glove and mitten is hand-sewn and uses natural materials, each leather mitten will possess slight variation in the look of the leather and beadwork. Astis embraces these subtle differences and views them as unique gloves more akin to works of art.
