Displaying a red beadwork band with white and black diagonal beadwork stripes across the back of the hand, these black leather gloves with red stitching are named for Mount Challenger. Challenger is in North Cascades National Park in the US state of Washington. It is a difficult peak to approach due to its isolation.
Astis leather gloves are hand-sewn in the USA from black high-quality suede leather with hand-stitched beadwork on the back of the hand and are lined with Polartec® Thermal Pro® High Loft insulation. Working directly with a tannery in the USA, we developed a suede leather, injected with silicone during the tanning process for further waterproofing, that is extremely durable yet retains great dexterity.
As each leather glove is hand-sewn and uses natural materials, each leather mitten will possess slight variation in the look of the leather and beadwork. Astis embraces these subtle differences and views them as unique gloves more akin to works of art.
